The ICRA-CERCA researcher Lúcia Helena Santos participated in the 18th International Conference on Chemistry and the Environment (ICCE 2023) in Venice (Italy), on 11th-15th June 2023, with the oral presentation “Wastewater-derived organic contaminants driven by reclaimed wastewater reuse in agricultural irrigation: dietary exposure and potential risks to the environment and human health”.
This presentation sums up the main results of the European project HYDROUSA concerning the assessment of the potential risks to the environment and human health of selected emerging contaminants (pharmaceuticals and personal care products) detected in reclaimed wastewater used for crop irrigation.
