Outstanding ICRA participation in the 12th edition of Micropol & Ecohazard
ICRA was extremely active in participating at to the 12th Micropol & Ecohazard from June 6th to 10th, 2022 in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain). This conference is part of the IWA Specialist Group “Assessment and Control of Hazardous Substances in Water” conference series and there were several platform and poster presentation, as well as chair sessions by ICRA researchers.
The contributions made to the conference were diverse reporting research mostly from the ‘Technology and Evaluation’ and the ‘Water Quality and Health’. The quality of the conference and ICRA’s contribution was extremely high and, in fact, Nikoletta Tsiarta, an ICRA PhD student within the NOWELTIES Marie Curie project, was awarded a best poster presentation. Also, ICRA participated to the organization of the event by organizing a workshop on ‘Novel materials’, co-chaired by Mira Petrovic (ICRA, ICREA) and Hrovje Kusic (U. Zagreb). Finally, Wolfgang Gernjak participated in the pre-conference Young Water Professionals workshop in the round table as well as presenting ICRA to an interested audience of more than 100 enthusiastic young researchers.
